Biography
I’m a native of Indiana currently living in Bloomington with my husband, two sons, daughter, three dogs and three cats, but have lived in both of the Carolinas and Tennessee. My work has appeared in publications including Adoptive Families Magazine, Chicken Soup for the Adopted Soul, NUVO, ORION, The Georgetown Review, The Potomac Review, and various anthologies, newspapers, and e-zines. I have a BA in English from Indiana University, an MA in English from Butler University, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Spalding University. My writing has earned an honorable mention, runner-up and semi-finalist in various literary awards, but I am most excited about receiving a 1st place award for my feature, “Roadkill-Casualties of the Car Culture,” which ran as a cover story in NUVO, in 2002. I am currently seeking a publisher for a memoir comprised of prose-poems and vignettes. |
